Prague Tea Fest 2025

Prague Tea Fest 2025: A Behind-the-Scenes Look

Another year, another Prague Tea Fest, one of my favorite weekends of the year, and not just because of the endless supply of fantastic tea. This year, I once again had the privilege of running the presentation room and supporting presenters. It’s a role that keeps me on my toes, but it also gives me a unique perspective on the festival that most attendees don’t get to see.

The Vibe: Community, Curiosity, and Caffeine (Well, Sort Of)

For those who haven’t been, Prague Tea Fest isn’t your average tea event. It’s not just about sampling high-quality teas (though, let’s be honest, that’s a big part of it). It’s a gathering of tea lovers, industry professionals, and curious newcomers, all coming together to explore the depths of tea culture, history, and innovation. The energy in the room is always something special, part learning, part appreciation, and part that subtle tea-drunk buzz that comes from back-to-back tastings.

Running the Presentation Room: A Balancing Act

My job? Make sure that presenters have everything they need to run their talks smoothly, whether it’s setting up the space, coordinating schedules, or ensuring they have a comfortable environment to share their expertise. It’s a mix of logistics, quick thinking, and last-minute problem-solving, but I love it.

This year, we had an amazing lineup of speakers covering everything from the nuances of Taiwanese oolongs to the future of sustainable tea farming. As someone who thrives on both structure and spontaneity, keeping the presentations running smoothly while adapting to unexpected hiccups is strangely satisfying.

The People Make the Festival

One of the best things about Prague Tea Fest is the people. You get to see the same faces year after year, vendors who bring their carefully curated selections, experts who have spent decades studying tea, and fellow enthusiasts who can nerd out over the perfect brewing temperature for dancong oolong. And then there are the newcomers, stepping into the world of loose-leaf tea for the first time, wide-eyed and a little overwhelmed. Helping create a space where all of these people can connect and learn is something I take a lot of pride in.

Until Next Year…

By the end of the day, I’m always exhausted, tea-drunk, and somehow both wired and wiped out. But it’s the good kind of tired, the kind that comes from being part of something bigger than yourself. Prague Tea Fest 2025 was another incredible experience, and I’m already looking forward to next year.

So, if you missed it this time around, put it on your radar for 2026. And if you were there, whether as a presenter, vendor, or fellow tea enthusiast, thanks for being part of what makes this event so special. See you next year, cup in hand!
